Lincoln Cathedral at Night

Night time at Lincoln Cathedral. When illuminated at night the Cathedral is truly wonderful to look at in it’s medieval splendour. The Cathedral dates from 1092 and is a grade 1 listed building built in the Gothic style. For two centuries the Cathedral held the title of the worlds’s tallest building (525ft) due to the former spire which collapsed in 1548. It had long been an ambition of mine to take this photograph and I was very pleased with the results after spending all night trying to time the long exposures with the cobbles being people free..
