Lincoln Cathedral at Night with an Imp

Lincoln Cathedral with an Imp – The Cathedral when illuminated at night is truly wonderful to look at, highlighting its medieval splendour. The Cathedral dates from 1092 and is a grade 1 listed building built in the Gothic style. For two centuries the Cathedral held the title of the worlds’s tallest building (525ft) due to the former spire which collapsed in 1548. I went along to Lincoln to take a photograph of the Cathedral at night not realising that the council had put a great big inflatable Imp in the shot. Once I’d got over the shock I quite liked the results.
