Swaledale in Winter – Thwaite

Swaledale in Winter – Thwaite. Without doubt this was one of my favourite days out with with a camera. I left work early after checking the forecast which was heavy snow and managed to get there just as the heavy stuff hit. In three hours I only saw two people and the only footprints were my own. This is a shot of Thwaite and it turned out to be one of my favourites with it’s simplicity and occasional flash of colour set against the billowing snowfall. In the hills above Swaledale the Pennine Way Spine race competitors were making their way up the country.
