Swaledale in Winter – St Mary the Virgin Muker. Without doubt this was one of my favourite days out with the camera. I left work early after checking the forecast which said heavy snow in the Yorkshire Dales. I managed to get there just as the heavy stuff hit. In three hours I only saw two people and the only footprints were my own. This shot was taken as I walked to Muker’s meadows. It turned out to be one of my favourites, with it’s simplicity and occasional flash of colour of the stone walls of the church and house set against the billowing snowflakes.
