Pennine Way Points the Way
Pennine Way Points the Way is set in the meadows surrounding Thwaite in Swaledale. There are over 100 different species of wildflowers in the meadows though the predominant one is the buttercups. The landscape is typical of Upper Swaledale with its hilly fields, Cow’uses (barns) and drystone walls. For the people who have walked the Pennine Way the track you can see is the one from Great Shunner Fell who’s summit can be seen at the top of the image.
